INhibitiON — The Leap

Your shadow holds on. Leap anyway.

Visitors arrive in a dark world made of drifting letters and symbols. The INhibitiON wordmark gathers out of the scatter, then breaks apart into floating cliffs divided by chasms. The visitor’s cursor, or finger on a phone, becomes the leaper from the logo. His shadow follows close behind, holding on? losing grip? cathing releasing chasing.

Moving through the world scatters the drifting characters, and they slowly settle back. The shadow cannot cross a chasms. To go somewhere, visitors carry the leaper over the gap and let go. is this a side scoller? Every so often the drifting air gathers into the title again somewhere new, then lets it go.

In the full experience, each region would sit across its own chasm: Shop, About, Journal, Mailing List, Blogroll, Conventions, and Credits and Process, with Project Purgatory glowing at the bottom of the chasm below.

This prototype shows the arrival, the world, the leaper and his shadow, and the crossing into a working Shop, where the cliff becomes a stack of comics. The products are placeholders. Shopify checkout, the other regions, and final artwork for the leaper and shadow have not yet been built.
